Setting up BROADNET and testing...
To set up and test Broadnet on your device

First - go to
portal.broadnet.systems in your browser and set up a free account.Add a terminal, and then add some channels.

Now go to terminals and make sure you add some channels to your handset. (This could take a few minutes to propagate around our servers - so please be patient)

Now run Broadnet on your device and enter your NETID into it when asked:

If your device is using a recent android version you wiull need to do two things:
1) Seletct yes to the 'do not allow Battery optimizations' - Broadnet needs to be connected at all times and run in tghe background like all Voip applications. It will use battery - but your device (Unlike a phone) has a large battery pack and an external antenna to reduce power useage.
2) Open the permissions prompt and allow all permissions for Camera, Microphone... etc..
3) Untick the "Delete permissions if unused for a fgew months" - just in case
4) Find the section titled - Allow overlay - or allow this app to draw on the screen - this is used for the Navigation overlay buttons or to enable RAW MODE - using your device with a floating BN button. (See later RAW MODE)

Next - your all set up - select a channel by pressing the CHAN button and you should see the channel name in the blue bar!

TIP: To test use the Echo channel and hold the PTT key and transmit - this should be played back over the channel for you.

If your device does NOT transmit - try Holding the Broadnet LOGO, then select SET PTT button.. Now press the PTT button and you should hear a beep - your PTT button is now set.
